While our station, Detroit Public Television, conducts the spring on-air fund raiser we are offering our viewers this opportunity to communicate with hosts Nolan Finley and Debbie Dingell.
There are a myriad of issues that we will continue to follow until we return to the air on Friday March 28th at 8:30 PM. Until then look for posts about the issues that matter to you.

I am a mid thirtys black women that moved from Detroit five years ago. I love DETROIT! but the citizens seem to love the fashion show and celebrities more than the children, education and where the money is truely being lost. I had and still have no objection to the state taking over the school because as Finley said(which I rarely agree with you) how many times can we try this and that til every child left really feels what the world thinks of them"There Not Worth It"

I think the book, "Waiting for Goldberg A Book that Affects Lives" by Bob Cioppa and Rod Thorn Can & does offer some answers to the problems that plaue the Detroit Public schools.
